#MySweetMother

When I take stock of my achievements in life, and what I can do, I cannot deny the fact that it was made possible by the guidance of my mother’s love. My mother did not just “sat and watch my infant head”, according to a popular nursery rhyme; her care, scolding, many flogging, correction, support, and sacrifices, really contributed in making me what I am today. When it comes to the welfare, and education of her children, she doesn’t mind selling her clothes to sort them out; and when it comes to discipline, she makes sure that it is given at the right measure, for the right reasons. There was a certain time that things were so bad at home after dad lost his job; my mum did different kinds of petty trading, hawk wares in-spite of the pain she has on her leg, just to see that the family survives. I can also remember vividly the stress she went through to provide the fees during my tertiary education. I know that I did not have it all in the world, or born with a silver spoon, but this i know, “I have the best mum in the whole world”.
